The Aim of this Site
The intention of this website and the information published here is to learn. I learn, you learn, we learn. Whether I play the role of the student or the teacher is of little importance, but achieving a space for dedicated and focused learning will be the evolving goal. Primarily, this site will focus on the Microsoft Power Platform in all its glory, with a focused audience that involves but is not limited to those who straddle the line between functional and technical consultants within the platform. The interplay between Power Applications, Power Automate, and the red-hot Copilot Studio are my primary focus areas, in addition to the platform at large (think Admin Center, security, governance, and Dataverse).
Since this is the commencement of my ‘professional’ writing and learning journey, I want to note that I open my virtual door to all feedback and criticism in an effort to learn together. In the formative years of my career (which I am still in the thick of), I have learned more from strange faces in the community than any white papers. Keeping that in mind, the least I can do is learn from my video and blog-authoring mentors and pass on my experiences so that others might learn and evolve. Please reach out to my personal email, [email protected] for any questions, comments, concerns, connections or recollections.
My Journey
I’ve been in this field now since July 2021, and each day offers its own unique blend of wonder and terror. Learning, balancing, readjusting. After taking up the first year of my career figuring out what was going on, I was directed to Power Automate, then Power Apps, and the rest is low-code history. Lately, I’ve been more interested in how to best govern the platform for both new and experienced organizations – environment segmentation and adoption, and striking the balance of empowering users with just enough to learn in a safe and secure space.
My current focus is what you’re reading now – putting some of my lessons to paper and publishing for my own selfish reasons, and hopefully helping someone spark an idea along the way. In addition to this writing, I am currently focused on skills to extend the platform with C#, and .NET/C# in general. Hopefully I’ll feel comfortable enough to write about the pro-development side of the house in due time.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and writing, watching movies (AMC A-List shoutout), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and spending time outside doing just about anything. Hit me with your latest reads or films!
