Welcome, Ramblers

"A good book is the precious life-blood of a master spirit." – John Milton

My Journey

When I received my offer letter to start my career as a Technology Consultant, I couldn’t help but wonder what technology I would be consulting on behalf of. Would I be fulfilling as many service tickets as possible from 8am-5pm and repeat? Or would I be building technology, collaborating with clients and customers? As my start date inched closer, I discovered my job title had been shifted to ‘Application Developer’, which in my 22 year-old brain meant working all day, every day, in some sort of IDE writing and deploying code. This was not the case, and that’s where Dynamics CE and the Power Platform came into the frame. After taking up most of the first year of my career figuring out what was going on, I was directed to Power Automate to try to do the impossible. Soon after came Power Apps, Platform Administration, and the platform at large.

My current focus is what you’re reading now – I’ve spent a few years now learning the what, now it’s time to take it another level deeper by learning the how and why. In addition to this writing, I am currently focused on skills to extend the platform with C#, and .NET/C# in general. Hopefully I’ll feel comfortable enough to write about the pro-development side of the house in due time.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading and writing, watching movies, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and spending time outside doing just about anything.
